Okay, let’s talk guilty pleasures because Light’s Out is mine now. I’m usually not into this type of book, but I’ve been seeing it everywhere, so I thought, “Why not mix it up?” And WOW, it totally delivered. This book had me giggling, kicking my feet, and feeling all kinds of things. Is it perfect? No. Did I love it anyway? Absolutely.

First off, if you’re not into spicy books, tread carefully. It’s definitely on the steamy side for me, but the writing is so good that even the more taboo or erotic themes felt tasteful and not overly cringe. The banter? Phenomenal. Josh, the MMC, absolutely stole my heart. He’s such a vibe, and his dynamic with Aly, the FMC, is everything. They both felt super relatable, and I was so invested in their motivations, emotions, and stories. Like, I get why this book is blowing up.

If you’re into Dark Romance, Suspense Romance, or Mafia Romance, this is for you. Even if you’re new to these genres, this is such a solid starting point. The mix of suspense, spice, and heart really surprised me in the best way. Highly recommend!

I wanted a man so obsessed that he hacked into cameras to watch me when he couldn't sleep. Like, are you kidding me? Navessa Allen, you’ve got me hooked.
